Als asymmetrisches Hufeisen entfaltet sich der Bürobau KISS im Münchner Bezirk Obersendling. Mit dem Ziel ein Klima- und Energiepositives, möglichst CO₂ neutrales und hochgradig funktionales Gebäude zu schaffen, entstehen nutzungsorientierte Räume mit ausgeprägter Variabilität, sozialer und ökologischer Dimension.

Saving Lives
At 140 Kistlerhofstrasse, we are creating a large space for saving lives. The building will be the new main rescue station of the Bavarian Red Cross in Munich and will house blood donor services, the Mountain Rescue and the Water Rescue, as well as the vocational school for emergency paramedics and nurses.
We have designed a multifunctional, adaptive architecture with a total area of 24,000 square metres. The three-storey underground car park with a further 12,000 square metres has a ceiling height of four metres on one floor so that the rescue vehicles can be optimally accommodated.

The building has been planned and designed as a timber hybrid, whereby the storey ceilings and the exterior walls will be made entirely of wood. The facade is covered with photovoltaics so that as much energy as possible can be generated. Since the building services are very extensive due to the laboratories, we achieve around 25 percent energy on site. Mixed-in-place processes during construction will also save resources and reduce CO2 emissions. All these aspects make our lifesaver a CO2-neutral building.
